We understand the future of smart lighting

Schréder is a family business founded in 1907 when electric lighting was bringing the city into the 20th century, making streets safer and illuminating new factories. More than hundred years later, in 2019, Schréder launches Schréder-Hyperion to think, explore and fuel the potential of smart city solutions that go beyond lighting. With our ambition to build cities that people love to live in, we embrace industry 4.0 and focus on developing smart city applications, inspiring the next generation. Located at the Nova Business School University campus, our new hub challenges technology and has a team of highly talented people who innovate from Portugal to the world.

At Schréder-Hyperion we believe that our innovative spirit, our entrepreneurial attitude and our ability to make things happen are what allow us to make an impact and create a better world. Outdoor lighting: the key to making our cities smarter.

At Schréder-Hyperion we understand the future of smart lighting. Outdoor public lighting provides a perfect platform upon which to build smart city technologies, since street lights are existing assets, evenly distributed throughout the cities, and connected to the electrical grid.

We support municipalities to establish open, interoperable platforms and provide easy-to-integrate infrastructure improving not only the quality of life in cities, but also the quality of democracy.

We accompany our customers on their journey to adopt these new technologies and ignite the flames of innovation, disrupting smart cities through light.
